Have you ever bought something that you
just love to use? Where you find excuses to use the thing, just because it's so much fun?
This is the way I feel about the new Aspire Digital IP/TDM PBX
from NEC Unified Solutions, Inc.
From the sleek, flat phones to the unique
architecture, this system can address the needs of over 99% of all small- and medium-sized
businesses. From the Aspire S through the M, L and XL, if your company or organization
uses less than four hundred phones, this system can grow easily and reasonably. The Aspire
S with it's optional IntraMail can be incredibly cost-effective for businesses with as few
as four phones yet it can grow to support up to twenty-four TDM phones and eight outside
lines. |
|
It's massive software package that comes
standard offers easy-to-use features of which most competitive systems only dream. Of
course, the assumed features like Caller ID and TAPI are standard (it is so cool to be
able to click on a phone number in Outlook and have your phone go off-hook and dial the
number for you!) but also built in are a host of sophisticated VoIP features. Do you have
an employee that needs to tele-commute?
Would you like to have a fully functional office phone in your home? With VoIP, you can
literally take the phone off your desk at work, take it home, plug it into your broadband
connection (e.g., DSL) and the phone will continue to work just as it did when it was
sitting on your desk at work. There is no need for special circuits as long as you have
adequate bandwidth.

| The IntraMail Voice Mail System can be ordered
with either four or eight ports (this means that either four or eight people can be
leaving/retrieving messages simultaneously) and it will store up to eight hours of voice
messages. Besides having the capacity for 128 mailboxes, features like Answering Machine
Emulation (you can hear someone leaving a message; just lift the handset if you want to
talk with them), Call Return with Caller ID (as you're listening to messages, your voice
mailbox will tell you the phone number from which the call was placed. A host of other
features make this as robust a voice mail system as you'll find anywhere. |

The only difference
between the Aspire M, L and XL are the capacities of the central processing unit. The
cabinets remain the same and allow a company to grow using the same phones and software.
The Aspire M CPU will support up to 64 ports. With the addition of the PAL-A software
option, the Aspire M can have T1circuits, networking and full Automatic Call Distribution
(ACD).
The Aspire L CPU comes with the PAL-A option and supports up to 256 ports. The XL CPU will
handle up to 704 ports. Regardless of whether a company chooses the S, M, L or XL,
they’ll benefit from a high-featured, easy-to-use telephone and voice mail
system that has a reputation for legendary reliability. |
